Bir zamanlar Japonya’nın en büyük havayolu şirketlerinin başında gelen ve uluslararası markalar arasında yer alan Japan Airlines (JAL), geçtiğimiz ocak ayından 25.6 milyar dolarlık borçla iflas korumasına başvururken şirketin yeniden yapılanma sürecine gireceği duyuruldu. Mart 2013 tarihine kadar 15 bin 700 çalışanın işine son verileceği açıklanırken evdeki hesap çarşıya uymadı. Şirketin iflas korumasına başvurmasından bu yana operasyonlarında her gün ortalama 5.3 milyon ile 10.6 milyon dolar arasında zarar etmesi, yönetimin çalışanları işten çıkarma planında değişiklik yapmasına neden oldu. Çalışanların işten çıkarılma süreci Mart 2013’ten Mart 2011’e çekilirken çıkarılacak çalışan sayısı da 15 bin 700’den 16 bin 452’ye yükseldi.
MALİYET 871 MİLYON $ DÜŞECEK
Japon Nikkei Gazetesi’nin haberine göre bilançodaki zararın artmasıyla birlikte iflas korumasında yeniden yapılanma sürecini hızlandıran JAL yönetimi, hâlâ net bir plan üzerinde de anlamış değil. JAL sözcüsü Szehunn Yap, haziran sonuna kadar yeniden yapılanma programının netlik kazanacağını belirtirken, şirketin günlük zararı minimize etmek yönünde her türlü tedbiri de gözden geçirdiğini söyledi. Bu kapsamda çalışanların işten çıkarılma sürecini üç yıldan bir yıla indirmek zorunda kaldıklarını belirten Yap, sayının artmasından endişe ediyor. Kararla birlikte JAL’ın istihdam maliyetinin bir yılda 871 milyon dolar düşmesi bekleniyor. Yap, haziranda netleşecek yeniden yapılanma planı çerçevesinde JAL’ın seferlerinin iptal edileceği rotaların artacağını ve bazı varlıklarının satışa çıkarılacağını da sözlerine ekledi.
‘Talep çok az, JAL sefer sayısını azaltmalı’
JAPON Ulaştırma Bakanı Seiji Maehara, Japan Airlines’ın sefer sayısını azaltması gerektiğini belirterek, sürecin en az zararla sonuçlanması için çalışanların bir yıl içinde işten çıkarılması gerektiğini savundu. Maehara, “JAL’a, içinde bulunduğu durum yüzünden uçuş talebi çok zayıf. Kısa sürede net adımlar atılmalı” dedi.
